The Academy at Montgomery Assembly of God consists of a set of courses devoted to discipling followers of Jesus in the Christian worldview of life. The Academy is distinctive within the church education environment by offering collegiate-level Bible-based education in an expert-led student-centered contemporary discussion setting. With the Bible at its core, Academy courses offer an inductive approach to critically explore ideas, principles, concepts, and issues related to the world we live in; and the Biblical values, beliefs, relevance, and behavior of the person devoted to God.
All Academy courses are open discussion, often video-based supplemented with lectures, Q&A periods, in-class exercises, and sharing of experiences by the students. Class coordinators are active born-again believers with either professional or significant non-professional teaching experience.
